Vogue World was an incredible fashion show event held on October 26, 2025, in the Paramount Studios lot in Los Angelous. Designers including Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, Fear of God, and Alexander McQueen were showcased in this show, highlighting the creativity and recognition behind costume design in some of the most famous and iconic movie films.
Some of our most beloved film characters are brought to life on the runway with our favorite models, which just brings excitement to our hearts. Adrienne Phillips, a Hollywood costume designer, said, “We all know films, like Annie Hall, or Star Wars, that have informed not only the way we dress, but the way we think.” This fashion show shares a form of media communication, sending messages to its viewers to talk about the culture, rich history, and Identity represented in most films. Fashion is a form of expression and a way of communication. Vogue World fashion show beautifully incorporated both points in their show.
This fashion show event was separated in VII Acts; with wonderful male models and celebrities we have seen before. Act I was “Hollywood glamour”. Designs by Prada and Ferragamo were shown in this section. We see Rege-Jean Page, the actor we all know for his famous role in Bridgerton, wearing Ferragamo. This silhouette is a two-piece black tailored suit with an additional long oversized cape on top of the blazer. There is a little bit of red poking out of the pocket of the cape.

In Act II, the theme is Regenade, where most designs are shown by Alexander McQueen. In this section, we see a more gothic style to showcase films like The Matrix and Alice in Wonderland. Kodi Smitt-McPhee wears an outfit by Colleen Atwood. McPhee wears striped black and dark gray linen flared pants with a long, tailored brown jacket with multiple accessories. There is a colorful silk bow at the neckline and white lace ruffled wrist cuffs. There is a pink cotton button-down shirt underneath as well.

Act III is all about Historical Heroines. There is a more antique approach with designs by Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior. This silhouette shown here is Christian Dior, with a white cotton button-up with black linen pants worn by a model who was seen in the Dior Spring 2026 fashion show. A pastel Tiffany blue jacket is also worn, which has a little bit of a cape in the back as well. This gives a palace vibe.

Act IV is an old Hollywood theme that the designs are from the original costumes in the movies. Timothee Chalamet was dressed as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, 2024. Conan Gray wears the original costume from A Complete Unknown. Gray’s costume is a sheer button-up orange color shirt with black denim jeans. A dark brown leather jacket is worn too.

Act V is Avant-Garde with designs by Valentino and famous costume designers. Alton Mason in a costume designed by Sandy Powell. Act VI is Afrofuturism, showing tribute to black representation in movies like Black Panther. The silhouette is a beaded long-sleeve with matching beaded shorts. Jeremy Pope modeled this look. There is an interesting African pattern shown with the beads, its colors are cream and red.

Act VII is the New World theme, featuring Tyriq Withers wearing Ferragamo. This silhouette is a two-piece oversized beige suit with amazing drapery, especially from the waist belt.
This fashion makes consumers appreciate the past while looking at familiar designs we love, it makes people want to dress just like them. Costume designer Sandy Powell mentioned, “I’m not just putting dresses on people or making somebody look good to go out for the night. It’s making somebody believe in a character.”
Vogue World incredibly represented all the different genres of film for menswear like Afrofuturism, historical, sci-fi, and shares fun aesthetics like Gothic and Western. We’ll see what Vogue comes up with, specializing in menswear soon.
