For Milan Fashion Week, Marco Falcioni took the fashion industry by storm with his Spring/Summer ‘26 Show in September, held in the Fonderia Macchi in Milan. This industrially abstract venue was transformed into a runway that blends chic and strength together. Falcioni, the creative designer for BOSS took a more abstract approach to this year’s show. The designer was inspired by the austere German design of the 1960s this year.

Taking a fashionable approach to this year’s show, Falcioni collaborated with artist Boris Acket to create a memorable show that embodies the raw, industrial mood of the Fonderia Macchi. Using bright light fixtures and shimmering foil, the Fonderia Macchi was transformed into an chic, edgy runway that showcased bold, powerful looks. Suits tailored to perfection, leather tote bags and a neutral palette were used to redefine modern power and strength. Falcioni himself stated, “ It was all about evoking the German sturm und drang,” in an interview with reporters backstage during the show.

BOSS is well known for their tailoring and neutral palette, producing looks that range from the darkest of greys to neutral whites and beige. Through the use creativity and art , Falcioni was still able to represent BOSS’ values as a brand, without straying away from the brand’s values. Falcioni was able to capture the historical and ongoing adherence to the strict and fiscal policies of Germany in the 1960s.

Falcioni’s goal for BOSS is to harmonize a balance between both creativity and business adjectives. He has led the brand in a direction, where both disorder and order come together on the runway to produce timeless looks for shows and celebrities around the world. Falcioni has taken it upon himself to create a new meaning for modern power, especially through clothing. Falcioni has taken the concept of power and turned it into something memorable for the runway. The designer has expressed on multiple occasions that he wants everyone who wears his clothing to feel powerful and to feel in control of who they are, especially through the clothing they wear. While commemorating this year’s show, Falcioni stated, “ All these associations with sport, but art were quite paradoxical to find. And then we went down deeper, and we found the same contrast in German culture.” Inspired by a time in Germany in the 1960s where budgets were balanced and debt was low, Falcioni wanted to capture the essence of a military-driven time period where war was at the forefront of everyone’s minds.
